OUTSIDE MEMBER SERVICES - STARTERS, RANGERSS & RANGE ATTENDANTS

Overview:  Vanderbilt Country Club is a premier bundled golf club, located in the heart of beautiful Southwest Florida. We are currently looking for Outside Service Attendants, Starters, and Range Attendants who are positive, energetic, and eager to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidates will pride themselves on attention to detail and offering an exemplary level of member service. These positions are considered seasonal through May, with the potential of being year-round for individuals who prove themselves. The pay range is $13 - 22/hour based on pay rate and gratuities.

Position Summary:  These positions will support the entire golf operation. The Bag Drop position will be responsible for greeting and welcoming members and guests guests arriving to golf. Along with member/guest interaction, this position will assist in loading/unloading golf bags at the Bag Drop. A Starter controls the start of play for each group. A Ranger patrols the golf course to keep play running smoothly, and assists all members and guests with anything they may need. As Range Attendant is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day outside member services with a focus on managing the day-to-day operations of the range.

Qualifications:

  • Provide exceptional member/guest service with enthusiasm and a smile
  • MUST be able to work a minimum of 24 hours/week and 3 days/week (hours can range from 20 hours - 30 hours per week)
  • Prior experience in golf operations required
  • Position requires significant walking, lifting, bending, and standing
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Advises players to speed up or slow down to alleviate bottlenecks
  • Returns all lost equipment to members or the 
  • Ability to work with others and as a team.
  • Ensure the range is properly set up for the day.
  • Maintain a clean driving range and short game area.
  • Most importantly, all members and their guests should be treated with the same amount of respect and enthusiasm, no matter if they are the first group out or the last group in.

FACILITIES MANAGER ASSISTANT

Overview:  We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Manager Assistant to join our team. Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks: Perform building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g., carpentry, electrical; heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing); perform general cleaning; and perform other tasks as assigned.

Duties:

  • Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair making notes and recommendations using a preestablished check.Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g., wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords) using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools
  • Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g., replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets and unclogging of drains)
  • Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes)
  • Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remount's modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand truck
  • Prepares the surfaces and paints various structures and equipment (e.g., walls, refrigerators, evaporative coolers, floors, roofs, doors, restroom facilitie) to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment using various painting equipment and related tools (e.g., sprayers, rollers, brushes, thinners)
  • Order parts and maintain required
  • Performs other work-related duties as set up for events
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends periodically
  • May perform other duties as assigned including work in other areas to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods or otherwise balance the workload

Qualifications

Educations/Certificates/Licenses/Training:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two year certification from a Trade School or equivalent experience.

Experience/Background/Knowledge:

  • Two plus years working experience in a large HOA or facility maintenance environment
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and carpentry is a plus
  • Har Tru / Clay Court maintenance is a plus
  • CPO and pool experience a plus

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

  • Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality

  • Tolerant to extreme heat or cold
  • Noise level which may, at times, require normal hearing protection in the form of ear
  • Heights (proficient in the use of ladders)
  • Electricity (general understanding of AC/DC electrical systems)
  • Lubricating fluids, cleaning solvents, and batteries
  • Cleaning fluids normally used in custodial
  • Paints
  • 20/20 vision or eyeglasses with correction
  • Ability to push a minimum of 100 pounds (power cleaning appliances)
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds (trash and supplies)
  • Ability to climb a ladder
  • Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing, walking, etc.
